Sow Indoors: June-August

Days To Germination: 7-14 days

Optimum Soil Temperature: 15-20 °C

Planting Depth: 10-13mm

Plant Spacing: 25-35cm

Light: Full Sun/ Partial Shade

Sow thinly 13mm deep under protection in February to April for earliest harvest in summer, or Jun to August outdoors to harvest Oct-Dec.

Sow under glass for all year round fresh ?salad leaves?.

Keep weed free and well watered.

In late autumn when temperatures fall, the outer leaves will close together tightly to form heads and the colours will intensify.

To remove bitterness boil or steam the leaves or fresh leaves add zest to a mixed salad
