This Italian crop is a popular addition to salads and other prepared foods. Each plant develops a tall rosette of dark purple, spear-like leaves with pristine white midribs. They have a little bitter flavour that gets stronger as plants get older. Cut plant in pieces or choose individual leaves. Chicory Rossa Di Treviso have a good resistance to the winter weather.

Growing instructions:

Sow the Chicory Rossa Di Treviso Seeds Hardy seeds from May to July. Thinly sow seeds into trays (2cm deep). Germination usually takes 10-14 days and once the seedlings have germinated and have grown 10-15cm tall, transplant the seeds or spread the plants 30-50cm apart. Water plants thoroughly after planting especially during warm days. Harvest from September to April.
