Chlorophytum comosum ‘Ocean’

Description

A variety of the ever resilient and prolific spider plant, Chlorophytum comosum ‘Ocean’ has shorter, wider leaves more densely packed than other varieties, with variegation along the edges of the leaves. Like other spider plants this variety produces a big family of plantlets on stems reaching out from the pot, which are happy either as a hanging from their parent or cut off and propagated into new plants.

WATERING

In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 50%.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Bright, indirect.

FEED

Use a houseplant fertiliser once a month from April – October.

REPOTTING

Repot every two years to give the roots more space to grow and replenish the soil. Use a well draining house plant compost with 20% additional drainaged medium like perlite, grit or hydroleca.
