Description
Arabica Coffee is a highly significant commercial plant originally hailing from the lush forests of Ethiopia and South Sudan. While it grows as a small tree, reaching up to 8 meters in its natural habitat, cultivation often involves pruning it into a more manageable shrub to ease the harvesting process. Featuring elliptical, glossy green leaves and fragrant white flowers, it produces yellow to purple fruits. Coffea arabica serves as the primary source of the ubiquitous coffee we enjoy and finds applications in liqueurs, flavourings, and as a caffeine source. It is commonly cultivated as a house plant.
