Cordyline Atlantic Green is native to New Zealand and its palm-like look brings an exotic feel to the garden. It is a brightly coloured evergreen palm with fragrant white flowers blooming in summer.
Perfect for adding height, this plant has an architectural shape and makes an excellent focal point in the garden. Its clusters of fragrant flowers are irresistible to bees and other pollinators and will attract wildlife to your outdoor space.
Also known as Cabbage Plant, Cordyline Atlantic Green is a versatile addition to the garden and works well planted in-ground or in containers. Use in borders or in a pot to decorate your patio area. When mature the plant can form branching trunks and adopt the appearance of a small tree. However, if you prefer it with a low profile then you can cut off the top growth and pot it up, effectively giving you a free plant. Fresh green shoots will appear on the original plant.
This plant will thrive in a sheltered spot with plenty of sunshine. It is relatively low maintenance and is happy in most soil types, as long as it is well drained.
