Description

Vaccinium macrocarpon ‘Howes’ – commonly known as Howes Cranberry – is a low-growing, evergreen fruit shrub. The dark green leaves, which turn a beautiful bronze or red in winter, are accompanied by delicate pink flowers in late spring or early summer, which are then followed by a crop of juicy, fiery red cranberries in mid-autumn.

Growing to an ultimate height of 15-30cm and an ultimate spread of 0.5-1m, Vaccinium Macrocarpon ‘Howes’ is an excellent choice for growing in cooler climates thanks to its hardiness. Once ripe, the cranberries are great for making pies, juices, cakes and more.

Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only – The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
