Description
Robust, clump forming perennial with pleated, mid-green lance shaped leaves which die down in winter. In mid to late summer it produces long lasting, funnel shaped, brightly coloured upward facing, flowers on elegant spikes which are excellent for cutting. These are a very striking bright tomato-red 5cm (2ins) long on bold, slightly arching spikes. They are nectar and pollen rich so are attractive to bees. Height 90 – 120cm (3 – 4ft). Plant in humus rich soil in sun or semi-shade.
