Description
Sow seeds from May to mid-June in modules or small pots undercover.
Sow 12 cm deep in moist seed compost and lightly cover.
Keep soil consistently warm and the seeds should germinate in 7-10 days.
Pot on seedlings once large enough to handle, keeping them in bright, sheltered conditions.
Plant to growing position from May to June (either undercover or can be grown outside in full sun), spacing plants 40-50 cm apart.
Provide support for climbing and water regularly.
Harvest from mid-July to September when fruits are firm, glossy, and fully grown.
