Description
The Venus Fly Trap is one of the most rare and unusual looking houseplants you can own, and it will certainly catch the eye of anyone visiting your home. However, aside from its small, spiky leaves, this plant is carnivorous which makes it exceptionally interesting.
Inside the leaves, nectar attracts flies and once they touch the tiny hairs inside, the leaves will gently snap closed, trapping the fly inside. The insect is digested by enzymes inside the plant over the course of around a week and it is a fascinating process to see up close.
