Epiphyllum (Disocactus) crenatum ‘Beavertail’

Description

This wide leaf epiphytic cactus has large flat paddle-shaped leaves that gently flop over the side of the pot; it is easy to see how it gets its common name of ‘Beavertail’. One of the easiest Epiphyllums to take care of – it will do just fine in medium to indirect light and if you are lucky, you might just see one of the most spectacular blooms in the plant kingdom.

WATERING

Allow the soil to dry out 90% before watering – if soil is very dry soak in water for 30-60 minutes.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Bright, indirect.

FEED

Use a cactus fertiliser 3-4 times a year during the growing season March – November.

REPOTTING

Repot or change soil every 2 years.
