Description
Initially growing as a bushy shrub Ficus binnendijkii ‘Alii’ has distinctive elongated pointed leaves with a softer feel than many other species within the Ficus genus. This species will readily put out new growth and is less prone to leaf loss than the smaller leafed Ficus benjamina.
WATERING
S/S allow 20% of the top soil to dry out. In A/W allow soil to dry out 50%.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS
Bright, indirect. Can be susceptible to scorching if placed in direct light.
FEED
Use a houseplant fertiliser once a month from April – October.
REPOTTING
Repot every 1.5-2 years. Use a well-draining houseplant compost with an added drainage medium like perlite.
