Ficus microcarpa ‘Ginseng’

Description

Every one of these little Ficus has its own unique character – lush bright green tufts of leaves sit atop a wonderful serpentine network of roots creating and illusion of a miniature tree.

WATERING

In S/S water when 20% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 50%.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Bright, indirect.

FEED

To encourage green leaves you can feed your ficus from April – September with a nitrogen-heavy plant food.

REPOTTING

These Ficus like to be pot bound as it helps to encourage smaller leaves and a more compact growing habit. However it is an idea to replenish the soil every two years and give the roots a little more space to grow. We recommend you use a well-draining houseplant compost and only go up one pot size.
