Description
Colourful deciduous shrub with fragrant mid to dark green lobed leaves and masses of really colourful 5 to 10cm (2 to 4ins) long pendent intense crimson flowers from late March to May which are attractive to bees and other insects. These are followed by globose blue-black berries in autumn which provide good food for birds.
