From July through September, the plant produces spikes of vivid purplish-pink flowers and strap-shaped, young green leaves. The centre of a sunny mixed or herbaceous border is the ideal place for this eye-catching perennial. The brilliant bottlebrush-like blossoms, which are best grown in light, fairly fertile, damp but well-drained soil, produce superb cut flowers.
Growing instructions:
