Description
Vitis Vroege ‘Van Der Laan’ is a deciduous, easy to grow climbing shrub that produces an abundance of large, sweet, tasty white grapes during autumn. The toothy lobed leaves of this shrub are bright green during spring and summer before turning golden yellow later in the year, around the time where these large cherry-like grapes should be ripe enough to pick, the fruits can be eaten fresh or alternatively can be used to make wine or as a cooking ingredient. As a climbing variety, these shrubs take up very little space in the garden, the grapevines can be left to grow along the back of a border, pergola or along a fence. They are incredibly disease resistant and due to their hardiness, will grow in all but the coldest of climates in the UK, so pick a sunny south facing spot for it to thrive in.
