Description
The seed does need stratification, therefore, it needs a period of cold weather to break the seeds dormancy this can be achieved by placing in the fridge for 10-14 days prior to sowing.
Can be sown late autumn and naturally chill for spring germination or after soil warms having chilled the seeds first.
The seeds are tiny and will not appreciate crowding, there best mixed with fine dry white sand to ensure spacing.
Can be sown direct to growing position outdoors.
For micro-greens best sown in trays on fine seed compost seed just needs pressing gently into growing medium, it must not be covered as the seed needs light to germinate.
Place tray in a clear plastic bag to maintain humidity to cover tray with a piece of clear glass do not allow the growing medium to dry out.
Can be invasive if left unchecked or allowed to go to seed.
