Description
Rosemary is a bushy herb shrub with strongly scented, linear green leaves, whilst being popular for its use in cooking. In Spring, the foliage will be accompanied by pale purple blossoms, with repeated flowerings over the course of the year.
A culinary staple, the rosemary leaves are an intensely aromatic addition to soups, stews, roasted meat and vegetables, breads or served as an attractive garnish. Ideal for drying due to its low moisture content even when fresh, and will retain its flavour when kept in the cupboard, ready to use.
The plant will require little maintenance, aside from cutting back after flowering to encourage new growth and to avoid it becoming woody.
