Tricolour sage are highly scented plants. It is a popular culinary herb with aromatic leaves often used in Italian dishes, stews and stuffings. Dried and fresh sage complements meat and poultry dishes and makes a delightful garnish for soups.
Sage herb plants thrive in a sunny spot in light, well-draining soil. They are drought tolerant and don’t cope well with soggy soil conditions. Consider growing tricolour sage as fresh herbs in pots or herb planters if the garden soil is too heavy. A sage plant is a great choice for growing potted herbs. These are low maintenance herb garden plants that largely take care of themselves.
