Description
A shining Hibiscus shrub that impresses even when others in the garden are starting to fade.
Big, beautiful pink flowers, each up to 12cm across, emerge with deep red centres to draw the eye. They start opening in July and just keep coming, often right into autumn. The petals shimmer in the sunshine, adding magic to your display.
‘Hamabo’ boasts an upright, bushy habit with dark green, deeply lobed leaves that set the flowers off a treat. Despite looking tropical, this is hardy and easy to look after. It will take frost in its stride and doesn’t demand much, just a nice sunny spot, free-draining soil, and a drink when the weather’s dry.
Treasured for its late-flowering ability, lighting up in bloom when earlier perennials and bedding are flagging. It’s perfect in borders or a big pot on the patio. Plus, bees adore it!
This proven variety holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit, due to assured performance, reliability, and all-round garden value.
Supplied as an established plant in a 19cm pot, ready to plant out.
