Description
Hosta Asparagaceae
Clump-forming deciduous perennial suitable for shade and part-shade. Purple flowers in mid-summer to 40 cm. This is the species frequently used in cooking by the as sansai. Hosta montana is said to have the best flavour of all the Hostas.
