Hydrangea Diamond Rouge

Description

Diamond Rouge is a striking variety of Hydrangea due to its colour changing nature and dual-toned flower heads. This hardy, deciduous shrub displays mid green foliage and an abundance of conical panicles from June onwards.

The blooms first appear as cream-white, but then begin to change colour from the base of the flower head. The blooms change to pink and then raspberry red, while still producing new white flowers at the panicles tip- giving the flowerheads a beautiful two-tone effect!

This plant will tolerate partial to full sun, but will bloom most prolifically in full sun. Plant in a fertile, moist, well-drained soil. This plant is well suited as a feature plant in a border, bed or cottage garden.
