Description
Unique vigorous deciduous shrub, yellow-green foliage on stems which are grey-grren with pink flushes. The huge, 15 to 30cm (6 – 12inches] conical panicles of long-lasting cool lime-green flowers in late summer to autumn, fading to cream then finally pink in autumn. These are held upright on stiff stems. Excellent as cut flowers either fresh or dried. Ideal for woodland or sunny shrubberies. Moist, humus rich soil, sun or light shade. Height and spread 3.7m (12ft) if unpruned, 1.2 – 1.5 x 1.2m (4-5 x 4ft) if pruned back to 30 – 35cm (1 – 1.5ft) each March.
