Iresine herbstii ‘Rich Redstar’

Description

Deep red-purple leaves are lined with hot pink veins to produce the vibrant appearance of Iresine herbstii ‘Rich Red Star’. Native to the American tropics means this bushy plant enjoys warm temperatures and bright light. It can be pruned to maintain its shape, and its stems are also easy to propagate!

WATERING

In S/S water when 30% of the top soil has dried out. In A/W allow top soil to dry out 60%. Keep moist but well-drained.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Full sun (but protect from harsh afternoon sun).

FEED

Use a house plant fertiliser every month between April – September.

REPOTTING

Repot every 2-3 years using a well draining houseplant potting mix.
