Description

A truly delightful tree in spring as the leaves emerge early as bright orange fading quickly to eye-catching yellow-orange margined with pink. These 5 to 7 lobed leaves then take on a greener hue in summer before turning bright orange in autumn before they fall. The leaves contrast beautifully with the interesting brownish red bark which gives the plant interest all seasons. It will make a good specimen small tree or large bush with an upright habit. Plant in moist but well-drained acid to neutral soil, in full sun or partial shade and sheltered from strong winds. Height 4 – 6m (12 – 18ft), spread 4m (12ft).
