Description
This climbing shrub is native to China, and commonly known as white jasmine or many-flowered jasmine. Delicate dark green leaves, made up of lance-shaped leaflets, twining vigorously while masses of tubular white flowers burst open with a strong sweet fragrance. This species is tender, and although it can do well outdoors from late spring through summer it’s best to keep it indoors for the colder autumn and winter months.
WATERING
Water regularly during spring/summer, when the top few layers of the soil feel dry. Reduce watering during autumn/winter.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS
Bright, indirect light with some dappled sun. Place in a south or west facing window.
FEED
Use a high potassium fertiliser (tomato fertiliser) every couple of weeks during the active growing season.
REPOTTING
Plant and repot using a well-draining sandy potting mix. Best grown in containers.
