Description
A flavoursome berry from Scandinavia, akin to the Cranberry. Dwarf spreading bush best container grown in ericaceous compost or grown in a boarder in acidic soil, preferably in full sun but they will tolerate partial shade. Very attractive when fruit are ripening. Keep moist but not over wet. Ida can fruit three times a year with two useful croppings, summer and autumn. Now very popular for fruit and juices. Nutrient poor soil is tolerated if it is acidic. Self-fertile. Plant 2.4m (8ft) apart.
