Description

Lupinus Shirley Anne is a vigorous, herbaceous, shrub with sturdy stems rising above bushy clumps of palmate, mid-green leaves. This striking perennial features tall spikes of densely packed, pea-shaped, purple and lilac flecked with white flowers. Flowering from late spring into early summer, their long-lasting blooms will open up from the bottom over several weeks. With its truly eye-catching colours and fine textured foliage this lupin variety is a perfect choice for adding interest to borders, patio containers or even a woodland themed area.

Provide a sheltered location to protect your Lupines from winds or stake the flowers well with bamboo canes in spring before the flowers appear. Deadhead regularly to encourage a second flush of flowers. Protect the young plants from slug and snail attacks.
