Description
The small but easily recognisable species from the Melocactus genus have a distinct feature, a wooly structure emerging from the apex of the globular plant, known as a cephalium, which has gained the genus the common name of Turk’s cap cactus.
WATERING
During S/S water when the soil is 100% dry. Refrain from watering during winter months.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS
Full sun.
FEED
Use a cactus fertiliser twice between April – September.
REPOTTING
Repot every 2-3 years. Use a well draining cactus compost, adding extra drainage such as perlite, pumice or grit.
