Description
Mr Fothergill’s Lettuce Lollo Rossa Seeds, Easy to grow, long lasting variety. Cut a few leaves from each plant perfect for baby leaf type salads, they will grow back for up to four cuts. Cut the whole heads of mature plants.
Sow outdoors thinly where they are to crop, 1.5cm deep directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Allow 25cm between rows. Early sowings may benefit from cloche protection. Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days. Thin out to 15cm apart. Water well until plants are established. Regular sowings made every two to three weeks will ensure a continuous supply.
• Frilly leaves, attractively tinged red
