Mr Fothergill’s Watercress Aqua Seeds, Highly nutritious with lots of flavour. Watercress is best grown in partial shade. Do not allow plants to dry out completely.
Sow outdoors thinly where they are to crop, 1.5cm deep, directly into prepared soil. For cut and come again baby leaves, allow 15cm between rows, or sow thinly direct into 25cm pots. Watercress is best grown in partial shade. Early sowings benefit from cloche protection. Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days. Keep moist and weed free. Regular sowings made every two to three weeks will ensure continuous harvests. Pick a few from each plant when approx. 10cm high, they will regrow for more ‘cuts’. Ensure plants do not dry out. For mature leaves allow 25cm between rows and thin to 20cm apart. Harvest whole plants from May. Generally the larger the leaf, the more peppery it will become.
