Description

Nepenthes Linda is a refined and reliable tropical pitcher plant hybrid, valued for its elegant growth habit and well-formed, colourful traps. This cultivar is a cross between Nepenthes ventricosa × Nepenthes ramispina, combining the vigour and adaptability of N. ventricosa with the darker tonal qualities and slender pitcher shape of N. ramispina. The result is a graceful hybrid that produces elongated pitchers, often flushed in shades of red to deep burgundy, with a well-defined peristome and contrasting interior.

As an intermediate hybrid, Nepenthes Linda is particularly well suited to indoor cultivation in the UK and similar temperate climates. It thrives in bright, indirect light; prolonged direct sunlight should be avoided to prevent leaf scorch. Ideal temperatures range between 1826°C, with a slight drop at night being beneficial. Consistent humidity of 5070% will encourage regular pitcher formation, although this hybrid is generally tolerant of average household conditions.

Water exclusively with rainwater, distilled or reverse osmosis water. The growing medium should remain evenly moist but never saturated. A free-draining, airy compost mix based on long-fiber sphagnum moss with added perlite or orchid bark is recommended. Unlike Sarracenia and other bog-dwelling carnivorous plants, Nepenthes should not be left standing in water.
