Growing Instructions
For the finest onions, seed directly outdoors, depth 0.5-1cm, in full sun to partial shade and well drained soil from late July October only.
Planting Space rows 30cm apart. Scatter seed in the row at the rate of 3 seeds per 2.5cm.
Seed can be started indoors 8-10 weeks before transplanting outdoors. When transplanting, clip plants to three inches and plant 5cm deep.
When seedlings are 7cm tall, thin to stand 5-7cm apart.
Sowings in Jul-Aug should be ready prior to Christmas, later sowings will mature in early spring.
