Pak Choi – Green

This variety produces smooth, round leaves on pale green, thick stems. Its rapid growth allows for a harvest only 40 days from sowing. If you want to use the whole plant, harvest when it has reached around 10cm tall, or to use only the individual leaves, harvest when the plant is larger. The plant can be used in a salad or cooked in stir fries. The flavour is slightly spicy but not as hot as any of the mustard types.

Sow from late spring to early autumn. Space the plants from 10cm apart up to 30cm depending what size plant you require. Avoid the height of summer but they grow fast and young whole plants can be ready in about 35 days.
