Description
Very elegant tree which forms a dense mound of weeping branches which are clothed with silver grey, downy, willow-like leaves, which change to grey-green and smooth above in summer. Clusters of white flowers in April which are attractive to bees, are followed in autumn by small brown fruits only 3cm long, which are inedible to humans but not to birds providing them with food in the winter.
