Perilla Bi-Colour Growing Instructions
Soak the seed for 12-20 hours in room temperature water.
Sow the seeds directly onto a moistened growing medium and cover the seeds and lightly mist with water.
Place the seeded tray into a second tray without drainage holes. This will allow you to bottom water the tray.
Cover with another tray on top to stop light getting in.
Leave the seeds undisturbed for 2 days, there will be enough moisture in the tray for the seedlings. If more water is added, then it increases the chance of mould growing.
On day 2-3, check the seeds to see if theyve germinated. If the soil is dry, then water from the bottom or mist.
Keep the tray in the blackout period until day 4 or when they are about 1cm tall and then place in a well-lit location.
When watering the seedlings, using the bottom tray.
Harvest when the seedlings are 5-7cm. Cut the stems above the soil line with a knife or scissors.
