Description
An outstanding new variety, similar to Photinia Red Robin, but with upright, finely toothed, evergreen foliage. The young shoots and leaves are coppery-red then gradually take on an unusual chocolate shade before turning dark green. All new shoots and leaves throughout the season are coppery-red The colours of this variety are more subtle than the very showy Red Robin. Delicate panicles of white flowers appear in late spring contrasting well against the foliage. Naturally a dense, well branched plant so is ideal for hedging or to be grown as a specimen plant. Plant in any reasonable well drained soil in sun or partial shade and protect from cold winds until established.
