Description
This upright perennial is also known as Jacobs Ladder because of its he ladder-like, pinnate leaves which are bright-green and upright. Flowers which are 2.5cm (1 inch) wide, bell-shaped, and pure white with bright yellow stamens are held well above the foliage, and are born on stiff stems throughout the summer. It sets seed readily and will do well in grass in a wildlife garden. Plant in sun or partial shade. It dies down in autumn but will shoot again in spring. Height and spread: 50 – 100cm (20 – 40ins).
