Description
Polystitchum ‘Proliferum’ is a compact, low growing evergreen fern. Similar to ‘Plumosum Densum’, this hardy shrub has very fine lace foliage with brownish stalks that produce arching green fronds of small toothed leaflets that overlap, appearing almost like a shuttlecock before maturing into more of a mound shape.
A hardy plant, it prefers to be in partially or fully shaded areas of your garden and are well suited for pots and containers provided they are kept well watered, it will grow best in well-drained soil that is high in nutrients, and a location that allows their fronds to fully extend.
