Burpee brought this pumpkin to the US in 1883, but it had been popular in France since the early 1800s. Cinderellas fairy godmother transformed this pumpkin into a coach. Vibrant reddish orange, the globular, flattened fruit weighs 2030 pounds. The meat has no flavour. This is a coach, if you would choose, or a just decorative pumpkin! After the risk of frost has passed and the soil has warmed to a depth of six inches, plant in late spring. Plant four feet apart in slopes. Leave 4 plants per hill when seedlings are 3 inches tall.
