Rhododendron Azurro

Description

Rhododendron shrubs are evergreen flowering shrubs renowned for their display of showy flowers, and Rhododendron Azurro is no different. Decorating the live plant from late spring to early summer, Azurro blooms are vivid in colour. The vibrant purple petals feature frilled edges, and the violet hues are perfectly complemented by a dark red blotch on each flower. Rhododendron Azurro is an undemanding evergreen plant that is hardy and easy to grow. It prefers a sheltered spot in partial shade and thrives in slightly acidic, moist but well-draining soil. Clay, loamy, or sandy soil types are perfect for these hardy plants. Use ericaceous compost for planting rhododendrons in pots and containers.
