Description

Superb Yorkshire bred rhubarb, classed as one of the best modern varieties. Heavy cropper with long thick stems, dark red in colour, and topped with distinctive arrow shaped leaves. Excellent flavour. Ideal for forcing and recommended for freezing. Self fertile. Crops April – flourishes in an open sunny position, with deep fertile soil. Mulch every winter with a good, thick layer of well rotted compost, and apply a general fertiliser in the spring. Do not allow to flower unless seed is wanted as this affects next year’s crop.
