Description
A shrub rose with very fragrant, with an ‘old rose’ fragrance, fully double, well-formed, silky crimson-purple flowers throughout the summer on dense fast growing deciduous plants covered with small bristly thorns. Large red rounded hips in autumn which are good for rose-hip syrup or excellent bird food in winter. Introduced in 1865. Also available as a root wrapped rose in our roses section.
