Description
Sow the seeds on the surface of a fine seed compost and lightly cover.
Place in a heated propagator at a constant temperature of 18-24c.
Make sure the propagator is placed somewhere bright as light aids germination.
The seeds will germinate in 7-10 days.
If the minimum temperature is not met, the germination will be low and sporadic.
Once the seedlings are 5-7cm, transplant into individual pots.
Gradually acclimatise the plants to cooler conditions.
Plant out once the risk of frost has passed.
Alternatively, directly sow outside from April/May.
