After receiving the potatoes, lay the out into shallow boxes or trays and store in a cool area away from frost.
Two weeks before you plant your potatoes, move them into a light area which is around 10 degrees Celsius so that a strong sprout is produced.
The potatoes can turn green when exposed to light, but this is normal.
Plant the seed potatoes in drills that are around 70cm apart in each row.
The potatoes should be planted 30-35cm apart from each other.
Make sure the eyes are facing upwards and planted at a depth of 10-15cm.
Ideal soil conditions for potatoes are sandy loam soils.
