Description
Vigorous native green-stemmed deciduous shrub or small tree with inconspicuous flowers in May. Can be very showy in autumn with red leaves and masses of rose-red capsules attractive to birds. Spindle should not be grown in a farm hedge where beet and beans may be grown, as it is a host plant for beet and bean aphis. Any ordinary soil, sun or partial shade.
