Growing Instructions
Sow seeds Mar to May under cover with warmth provided. The seeds may rot with insufficient temperature provided.
Best sown in individual pots 1 inch deep in well drained good quality seed type compost.
Germination 7-14 days @ 18-22 C. Lower temperatures may cause failed germination.
Once germinated grow on in cooler conditions under cover.
After all danger of frost has passed (usually Mid May onwards), acclimatise young plants before planting out.
Best planted in soil heavily enriched with organic matter.
These plants need space to thrive, overcrowding may lead to poorer harvests.
Ready to harvest late autumn as foliage starts to die back and skins have hardened.
