Description
Best sown directly to the growing bed outside from Mid May to Jul.
Sow thinly ½ inch deep in drills 12 inches apart in soil that has been raked to a fine tilth.
When the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin out to 6 inches apart, taking care not to disturb damage the remaining plants. Seedlings do not transplant well.
Keep the plants well watered especially whilst seedlings and weed free.
Protection (netting) may be required if pigeons are a problem in your area.
