Description
A rose with real star quality… The Elton John AIDS Foundation Rose! This extraordinary Hybrid Tea variety is more than just a pretty face, it’s bursting with charisma, fragrance, and a beautiful purpose too. Launched at the prestigious 2025 RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
The flowers are spectacular. They open as pearly pink and gradually shift to a rich cherry blossom tone, creating a constantly changing show from June to November. Each bloom is packed with up to 50 petals, and youll often get clusters of seven blooms together, so it really puts on a display.
But the scent – oh, the scent! It’s a heavenly mix of melon, rose and just a hint of citronella. Youll catch it on the breeze long before you even see the flowers, which is why its lovely to grow near a seating area or path.
This variety doesnt just rely on good looks, either. The foliage is glossy and dark green, and its impressively resistant to disease, making it easier to grow and enjoy without too much fuss. Its robust, reliable, and grows to about a metre tall. The ideal size for borders, beds or large pots on the patio.
For every rose sold, Harkness Roses will donate 5 to the Elton John AIDS Foundation from 1 May 2025 – 31 December 2029, supporting their vital work in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Supplied as an established, freshly potted rose in a 4 litre pot, ready to plant.
We always endeavour to provide beautifully formed plants; however, our roses will naturally start to lose their leaves from October to prepare for the colder months. Do not worry though, as they will flourish once again with leaves and buds in the spring. Please, make sure you consider the season when purchasing our remarkable roses for yourself or loved ones.
