Verbascum ‘Caribbean Crush’ brings a warm, sun-drenched palette to summer planting, with tall, upright spikes packed in saucer-shaped flowers that shift beautifully as they open. Apricot, buttery yellow, soft pink and bronzy orange-copper tones can all appear on one plant, giving this mullein a painterly, almost tropical glow. Verbascum ‘Caribbean Crush’ forms a handsome basal rosette of large, woolly, grey-green leaves, with each textured leaf reaching up to around 25cm long. From this soft, architectural base, the flower stems rise with pleasing confidence, adding height and rhythm to borders without becoming too bulky.
