Description
A shrub or small tree to 4 m tall with large, paddle shaped leaves and a terminal, branched, hairy inflorescence with pinkish flowers. It is native only to disturbed dry deciduous forest on Ecuador’s Pacific coast and was botanically described as recently as 2006. It is easy to grow, tolerant of drought and best suited to tropical climates.
